“英语阅读”和“英美文学”是我国英语专业本科阶段的两门必修课,前者由于教授方法、教材选用、评估方式等问题备遭学生冷遇和诟病;而后者则在“实用主义”“重技能、轻人文”教育思想的冲击下在英语专业课程设置中遭遇边缘化的局面。本论文旨在响应《英语专业教学大纲》对于培养“复合型”人才的要求,立足学生的学习能力和需求,结合两门课程的长处,规避短处,探索出一条“英语阅读”和“英美文学”一体化教学的道路。
English Reading and English and American Literature are two compulsory courses for undergraduates of English major in our country. The former is subject to criticism and cold due to problems of teaching methods, teaching materials selection and assessment methods, Pragmatism “” heavy skills, light humanity “under the impact of educational thinking in English professional curriculum set in the marginalized situation. The purpose of this thesis is to respond to the requirements of ”Syllabus for English Majors“ to cultivate ”compound talents“, base on students’ learning abilities and needs, combine the strengths of the two courses and avoid shortcomings, and explore an ”English Reading“ And ”Anglo-American literature " integrated teaching.
