近几年来,我局井下皮带机着火事故时有发生,仅据1983和1984两年的统计就先后发生了3次和4次。这些事故虽然没有造成人员伤亡,但也造成了不小的经济损失,尤其是给矿井的安全生产带来了严重威胁。因此,为了防止这类事故继续发生,我局研制了防止皮带机皮带摩擦着火的 PSB 型皮带机低速、煤位、集控等3种功能保护器(对刮板机与皮带机混合运输系统,只要更换传感器,还可进行刮板机集控和断链保护)。该保护器于1884年4月至9月完成了工业试验,并通过了原安徽省煤炭工业公司主持的鉴定。鉴定肯定了该保护器3种功能的实用
