Abuse of wives in the home is common in all countries of the world. According to the World Bank survey, in the 20th century, 25% -50% of women in the world have been physically abused by those close to them. A sample survey conducted by the All China Women’s Federation shows that 16% of the women admitted having been fooled by their spouses and 14.4% of the men admitted playing their spouses. Of the about 400,000 disintegrated families each year, 25% suffer from domestic violence; among divorcees, the rate of violence is as high as 47.1%.
