1989年10月12日下午,李长春省长、王文元副省长亲自来省馆视察,并传达了新馆即将动工的喜讯。省政府于11月2日正式下达了批准开工的决定。为全省人民多年关注的一件大事,终于付诸实施了。辽图新馆建设,是在党的十三届四中全会精神鼓舞下,在两个文明建设一起抓的思想指导下,经过反革命暴乱的深刻反思之后,做出的正确决策。这充分说明社会主义精神文明建设已摆到各级领导的重要工作议事日程。
On the afternoon of October 12, 1989, Governor Li Changchun and Vice Governor Wang Wenyuan personally visited the provincial museum and conveyed the good news that the new museum is about to start construction. On November 2, the provincial government formally issued a decision to approve the start of construction. For the people of the province for many years concerned about a major event, and finally put into effect.
