燕山隧道全长只1275米,虽不是长大隧道,但因其穿过一座水库,施工有一定难度而著名。这座隧道位于京九铁路上、广东省和平县境内,洞身穿过南石水库,洞顶埋深6米左右。 隧道处于低山区,自然坡度30左右,地表布满松树和灌木,山坡表层为砂粘土。水库地段宽30多米,水深1.4～2米;水下有2米多厚的淤泥,下面有1.3米
