Significance: The oxygen saturation measurement is usually used to evaluate children with bronchiolitis, which may reduce the hospitalization threshold of children with bronchiolitis. Aims: To investigate whether the 3% reduction in the measured value of an artificial infant is 15% lower than the actual measured value of oxygen saturation in children with bronchiolitis. DESIGN, INSTITUTIONS AND SUBJECTS: A randomized, double-blind, parallel-controlled trial was performed at the tertiary care emergency pediatric department in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, 2008-2013. Subjects were 213 mild to moderate bronchiolitis with 4 weeks to 12 months of age and blood oxygenation
