周炳章同志,1934年1月19日生于浙江杭州,于2015年2月10日在北京逝世,享年81岁。周炳章同志1952年进入清华大学土木系学习,1957年到北京市建筑设计院四室工作,从事保密工程设计,1964年调入研究室工作。1966年邢台地震后,周炳章同志开始了毕生的抗震研究工作,多次冒险赴刑台、唐山等震区进行震害调查,取得了丰富而宝贵的研究成果。周炳章同志作为我国最早从事工程抗震研究的科技工作者,在此领域享有崇高的声望。在学术上,对我国的抗震工程特别是砖混结构抗震做出了巨大贡献。他主持的圈梁与构造柱抗震研究直到现在仍是我国砖混抗震的主要技术措施。他先后参加了历
Comrade Zhou Bingzhang was born in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province on January 19, 1934 and died in Beijing on February 10, 2015 at the age of 81.
