(I) The first high-head cascade hydropower station in China, Yilihe Hydropower Station in Yunnan Province, was officially launched on July 1 this year after two years and six months of survey, design and construction preparations. The hydropower station is divided into four steps and will be completed within the second five-year plan. The hydropower station will meet the needs of the mining of copper, lead and zinc minerals in northeast Yunnan and the rapid development of industrial electricity in Kunming.
