马一平先生从教50年,时踞半个世纪,在中国艺术界和艺术教育界亦属少见。他的教育生涯经历了“文革”前中后和改革开放两个时期,跨越20世纪与21世纪,历任四川美术学院和川音美术学院教学领导岗位,分别在重庆和成都生活过很长时间。如果加上习画求学的经历,马一平先生对中国艺术院校的深入体会和透彻了解,恐怕少有人能比。我和马先生接识从上世纪90年代开始,最先牵线人是刘虹。那时刘虹和同学张晓刚、叶永青、陈卫闽、蒲立娅以及王毅、杨述、忻海洲、张濒等人交往甚密。这是四川美院倾心于现代艺术即新潮美术的一拨 Mr. Ma Yiping taught for 50 years, occupying half a century, is also rare in Chinese art and art education.
