装甲补给车是装有专用方舱和装卸设备,用于野战条件下为坦克和其它装甲车辆补给弹药、油料、器材等物资的多用途后勤保障车辆。主要装备在坦克部队和机械化步兵(摩托化步兵)部队的后勤分队。根据方舱的不同,可分为装甲弹药补给车、装甲器材补给车和装甲油料补给车。油料补给车由底盘、油料集装箱、泵组集装箱和吸油软管等设备组成。弹药补给车由底盘和弹药集装箱组成。器材补给车由底盘、标准的器材集装箱和大部件器材固定装置等设备组成。三种车同时装备坦克部队,一般情况下各负其职,完成油料、弹药和器材的保障任务。必要时,各车可以靠自身装备的装卸设备卸下集装箱,变换其它集装箱或通用的器材,转换不同的运输任务,以确保前沿坦克部队的后勤供应。转换时间一般不超过1小时。
