调查显示:40%以上的城市中小学生受到过不同程度的滋扰,而对全国2万名少年儿童的调查表明,他们的主要缺点占百分比最高的是“胆小”。当一个孩子被袭击或被抢劫,他失去的仅仅是金钱吗?不!大量事实告诉我们:这些无辜孩子的真正不幸,在于尊严被侮辱,人格被扭曲,人生蒙上了阴影。 1994年5月24日,江泽民总书记号召全国少年儿童:“自学自理自护自强自律,做社会主义事业的合格建设者和接班人。”这是党和国家对孩子们的深切关怀,也是培养跨世纪一代的核心内容。 基于上述考虑,本刊决定从“自护”入手,大力培养孩子们的优良素质。为此,我们特邀中国健康教育研究所副研究员徐岫茹、优秀班主任和女作家仝慧铭,编写了《中小学生自我保护66招》,从本期开始分3期连载。同时,准备举办全国少年儿童自护能力大赛。在最近召开的全国少工委三届二次全委扩大会议上,已将此列入1997年全国少先队工作要点,明确要求:在“五自”学习实践活动中,“侧重开展自护教育。提高少年儿童自我保护、自立自强的意识和能力。” 我们相信,扎实有效的自护教育,一定会赢得千家万户和广大学校的大力支持,而这必将赋予新一代以顽强的品格。
