与金冠和金矮生相比，芭蕾苹果的组培苗生长速率低，茎干粗壮；对ＰＰ３３３、ＮＡＡ和ＢＡ反应不敏感，内源激素含量变化幅度和生长速率均小于普通型和短枝型，而对ＧＡ３的反应很强，内源激素含量的变幅大。由此推证，芭蕾苹果的柱型生长习性取决于高ＩＡＡ、ＣＴＫ和低ＧＡ３含量，以及各激素间的平衡关系。
Compared with Golden Delicious and Golden Dwarf, Ballet apple seedlings had low growth rate and stout stems. Insensitive to PP333, NAA and BA, the changes of endogenous hormone content and growth rate were less than those of common and spur , While the response to GA3 is very strong, large changes in the content of endogenous hormones. Thus, it is concluded that the columnar growth habit of Ballet apples depends on the high IAA, CTK and low GA3 content, as well as the balance between the hormones.
