鉴于柴油类生物燃料较高的经济利润,建议在起始阶段就进行整体工艺流程的设计,将微生物的改造与规模化生产中的其他关键目标(如加强细胞分离效率、增加极端操作条件下的细胞稳定性等)联系起来,从而降低生产成本,提高生产效率。遵循这一观点,回顾微生物法大规模生产柴油类燃料的方法,确定大规模生产的工艺条件,并把确定的工艺条件最终转换为改造微生物的目标,把发酵、产品提取、细胞重复利用和低成本分离等技术整合起来进行工艺流程的设计。
