《人民日报》今年2月2日发表了朱光潜的《狄德罗的〈谈演员的矛盾〉》,3月8日发表了司徒冰的《论演员的矛盾》,这两篇文章引起了戏剧界广泛的注意。北京、上海和其他地方的一些剧院剧团都就两篇文章所涉及的问题展开了学习和讨论。中国戏剧家协会曾于3月16日和17日连续召开了两次座谈会,会上,许多同志畅谈了自己的看法(略见本刊今年第五期报道)。这个讨论所以引起戏剧界同志们的关心和兴趣,因为它接触到了表演艺术中的一些重大的理论性问题。我们认为,这个关于表演理论问题的讨论,不仅有助于我们更好地学习外国古典的和现代的优秀表演艺术理论,学习我国源远流长的戏曲表演艺术经验,同时也有助于总结我国当代各种表演艺术的经验,从而进一步提高和丰富我国表演艺术的理论,促进我国社会主义的民族的戏剧艺术日益精美和丰富多采。这一期我们先发表丁里、朱光潜、袁玉坤、白珊等四位同志的文章。希望戏剧界以及对戏剧有兴趣的同志们积极参加这个讨论。
On February 2 this year, People’s Daily published Zhu Dianqian’s “Diztro’s Contradictions on the Performers.” On March 8, he published Stuart’s “On Contradictions of Performers.” These two articles aroused the attention of the theater industry Widespread attention. Some theater troupes in Beijing, Shanghai, and elsewhere have studied and discussed the issues covered in the two essays. The Chinese Dramatists Association held two consecutive forums on March 16 and 17, during which many comrades talked about their own views (for the slightest reference, we published the fifth issue of this year’s magazine). This discussion has aroused the concern and interest of the theater comrades as it touches on some of the major theoretical issues in performing arts. In our opinion, this discussion on the theory of performance not only helps us to better study the theories of outstanding classical performing arts and modern performing arts, but also learn from the long history of performing arts in our country and at the same time help to summarize the contemporary performances of various kinds in our country Art experience so as to further enhance and enrich the theory of performing arts in our country and promote the dramatic and colorful drama art of our socialist people. In this issue, we first published four articles by Dingli, Zhu Guangqian, Yuan Yukun and Bai Shan. I hope that the theater industry and the comrades who are interested in the drama will actively participate in this discussion.
