在批林批孔运动的推动下,万荣县青谷大队根据农村三大革命运动的需要,于一九七三年五月七日,创办了“五·七”农民业余大学,这是万荣县无产阶级文化大革命以来出现的又一新生事物。两年来,这所学校以党的基本路线为纲,走《五·七指示》道路,依靠群众办学,坚持业余学习,为农村培养了一批马列主义、毛泽东思想的理论队伍和农业生产技术人材,对教育怎样为社会主义经济基础服务,提供了经验,开辟了道路,成为我省群众业余教育的一个先进单位。
