采用三元胺及二元胺混配方法进行[Co(N)_5Cl]~(2+)配合物的合成,分离出分别由三元胺配体和二胺配体构成的2个钴胺配合物。晶体结构测定表明由三元胺配体构成的钴胺配合物中,三元胺为N-(2-Aminoethyl)-1,3-propanediamine(记为2,3-tri),但并未以六胺形式配位[Co(N)_6]~(3+),而以六胺五配位形式形成[Co(N)_6Cl]~(2+),这可能是由于配体与钴形成的六元环的稳定性较差所致。对于二元胺配体构成的钴胺配合物,二元胺配体为2-(Aminomethyl)pyridine(记为amp),则以六胺形式配位[Co(N)_6]~(3+),而所选用的三元胺配体[2-(Aminomethyl)-1,10-phenanthroline](记为amph)并未进入配合物。在配合物中,3个二元胺配体有明显的趋向性,即采用3个配体吡啶环相互垂直的方式以形成最多的C-H…π结构。
