清光绪三十一年(1905年),中国自隋唐起实行千余年的科举制度正式废止,从而开始了全面建立现代教育制度的进程。此件文凭是废除科举制度后新式教育制度的产物,见证了中国现代教育发展的历史。
In the 31st year of the Guangxu reign (1905), the imperial examination system practiced in China for more than a thousand years since the Sui and Tang Dynasties was formally abolished, thus beginning the process of establishing a modern education system in an all-round way. This diploma was the product of the new education system after abolishing the imperial examination system and witnessed the history of the development of modern Chinese education.
