So far, there are three female images common in suspense films: female superiors in rigid suits (eg MJ by Judy Danch in the Bond series and Joan Allen in The Bourne Identity CIA director), super female spies (eg female spies by Jennifer Garner in “The Two-Face Female Spy”), old virgin detectives (eg “The Number One Suspect”, Detective in “Miss Marple”).
