被人们誉为“中央最大的扶贫项目”的南昆铁路,东起广西南宁,西至云南昆明,北接贵州黄果,全长898公里,是我国继成昆铁路之后,在艰险山区修建的又一条长大干线铁路。它的建成,对改变大西南与华南贫困地区的交通状况,开发云贵高原丰富的矿产资源,振兴边疆少数民族地区经济有着极为重要的意义。为确保今年3月全线铺通,铁道部5万余名建设者正不畏艰辛,风餐露宿全线展开大决战。
