回顾中国当代艺术史,我们会发现自“’85新潮”以来,许多重要的中国当代艺术家都曾以汉字为元素创作过艺术作品,如谷文达、吴山专、黄永砯、徐冰等等。究其原因,主要还是汉字所具有的造型意识,即作为一种象形文字,其文字本身就是从图画中提炼而来。因而,回到汉字的意象图腾,既可以构成艺术本身的形式意味,同时也可以赋予其作品更加深远的文化内涵。此外,1978年以后门户的再度开放,中国又一次遭遇了强大的西方文明,这使得中国新艺术参照西方现代艺术发展起来,也不可避免地产
Recalling the history of contemporary Chinese art, we find that many important Chinese contemporary artists have created works of art with elements of Chinese characters such as Gu Wenda, Wushan Zhuan, Huang Yongxuan and Xu Bing since the “85 New Wave.” The reason is mainly Chinese characters have the sense of modeling, that is, as a hieroglyph, its text is extracted from the picture itself. Therefore, returning to the image totem of Chinese characters can not only form the formal meaning of art itself, but also give it a more profound cultural connotation.
