广东南方歌舞团(原广东省民族歌舞团)成立于1953年7月1日。歌舞团以发展少数民族歌舞艺术、弘扬中华民族精神为宗旨,扎根民族地区,创作和改编了大批具有浓郁的乡土气息、独特民族风格和鲜明时代特征的音乐及舞蹈节目,其中有获世界青年联欢节舞蹈比赛金质奖章、中华民族二十世纪舞蹈经典奖的《草笠舞》:获中华民族二十世纪舞蹈奖及省鲁迅文艺奖、省儿童文艺作品一等奖的《摸螺》;
Guangdong Southern Song and Dance Troupe (formerly the Guangdong Provincial Song and Dance Ensemble) was established on July 1, 1953. Song and Dance Ensemble in order to develop the art of ethnic song and dance, carry forward the spirit of the Chinese nation for the purpose, rooted in ethnic areas, creation and adaptation of a large number of rich rustic flavor, unique ethnic style and distinctive features of the times music and dance programs, including the World Youth League Gold Medal of Dance Festival, “Kusha dance” of Chinese Twentieth Century Dance Classics Prize: “Tamagotchi” won the 20th anniversary of Chinese nation dance award and provincial Luxun Art Award, the first prize of provincial children’s literature and art works;
