Glehnia littoralis is a Umbelliferae perennial herb that grows on beach sands in the North Pacific Ocean. Its rhizomes and roots are used as crude drugs and are included in the Japanese and Chinese Pharmacopoeia. According to the author’s previous studies on the chemical composition of rhizomes and roots and isoenzyme patterns of esterase and peroxidase in the leaves, genetic variation occurs in coral dishes. Extensive propagation in vitro may provide an effective method of growing chemically uniform coral dishes. Seed-growing plants and clonal plants grown from the top of shoots of a single plant, Coral coral, were cultivated in the experimental field for 2 years. Test results show that the micropropagation plant roots
