If the university’s English teaching is not limited to expanding the vocabulary and strengthening the concept of grammar, it will undoubtedly lead students to go astray. Among the students who learn English, whether they are professional or non-professional, the emergence of high scores and low energy is a good example. In the exchanges with foreigners, students often feel that their thoughts and feelings are often expressed in less than a “fire”, and they cannot say or write “points.” This is not because students have a small vocabulary, or because students lack grammatical knowledge, but because we ignore the deeper content of the language, that is, rhetoric in language. We don’t often say: “Is there a three-speaking and clever way of saying?” If you want to cleverly talk about using language more effectively, learning a bit of rhetoric is essential.
