This thesis tries to pursue how to teach reading,how to develop the students’ reading competence,and how to improve their reading ability.It is intended to study the issue from the nature of reading-the features of written language,and the physical process of reading.After the explanation of models of reading,I present several strategies for reading comprehension,for our teachers to discuss,to teach the students,as well as some more techniques and more cautions in teaching reading.
