PTN技术已被中国移动广泛部署于现网之中,然而其能否符合中国电信、中国联通这类固网运营商的需求却一直受到业界质疑。近期中国联通进行的八大城市PTN、IPRAN测试已开始显露出PTN对于HSPA+的承载能力,本期《通信世界周刊》特邀参与测试的几家厂商代表共同就PTN能否有效承载HSPA+展开讨论。
PTN technology has been widely deployed by China Mobile in the existing network, but its compliance with China Telecom, China Unicom and other fixed-line operators demand has been questioned by the industry. Recently, China Unicom’s PTN and IPRAN tests in eight cities have begun to reveal the carrying capacity of PTN for HSPA +. Several vendors invited to participate in the test by Telecom World Weekly discussed whether PTN can effectively carry HSPA +.
