“三山五岳”作为中国文化中一个特殊的象征,如果说“五岳”是正统地域的象征,那么“三山”就是人们对美好生活的向往,雁荡山是“三山”里最鲜为人知的一座山,却也是“三山”里最符合“海中三神山”特征的一座山,被称为“海上名山,寰中绝胜”。史称“东南第一山”的雁荡山也孕育了独具地域特色的瓯越文化,今日温州人事功实用、敢为人先的精神就是由瓯越文化的“善变”和“尚争”特质演变而来。自驾瓯越之地、寻访雁荡之美也是品味温州人文魅力的一种方式。
