2002年,第一辆国产索纳塔下线,这款产品即畅销欧美的第五代索纳塔。现如今,索纳塔已经发展到了第九代,并以全新的面貌来到了中国。换新颜第八代索纳应用的“流体雕塑”设计理念令人印象深刻,第九代索纳塔同样应用了“流体雕塑”设计理念,但不同的是已经升级到了第二代,重“雕塑”而非“流体”。第九代索纳塔的前脸有几分名图的影子,中网采用六边形设计并配以镀铬饰条,视觉效果更加稳重。第九代索纳塔的侧面造型也有一定变化,车顶线条饱满流畅。
