徐迟,是作为中国现代都市诗最热情的歌唱者而名闻。他在20世纪30年代的都市诗创作,取得了重大的成绩,第一本诗集《二十岁人》足以揭示诗人个体的特质,虽然后来创作有变,却奠定了他的诗坛础石。他诗歌创作的意识是自觉的,有着时代与流派思潮的显著影响,虽然整体的艺术价值不高,在中国诗歌史上尤其是都市诗写作上,亦是浓墨重彩的一笔,诗集的结集出版,可以称作是中国现代都市诗中的“尝试集”。
