英国小说家格雷厄姆·斯威夫特是举世公认的后现代小说名家之一。其发表于1983年的《水之乡》一问世就获得巨大成功,吸引了各界的注意力。《水之乡》一书复杂的结构和丰富的内容使得对它的不同解读相映成趣。基以对让—弗朗索瓦.利奥塔以及其著作《后现代状况:关于知识的报告》主要观点的理解,主要从以下三个方面阐述分析《水之乡》中体现的对宏大叙事的解构:一是叙事技巧,二是历史的本质,三是用微小叙事代替宏大叙事。
Graham Swift, a British novelist, is one of the most famous postmodern fiction writers in the world. Its publication “Towns of Water”, published in 1983, was a great success as soon as it came out and attracted the attention of all walks of life. The complex structure and rich content of The Water Country make it different readings. Based on an understanding of Jean-François Lyotard and his book The Postmodern Situation: The Key to Reporting, this section focuses on the analysis of the grand narrative embodied in The Water Home from the following three aspects: Deconstruction: First, narrative skills, the second is the essence of history, the third is to use a small narrative instead of grand narrative.
