英语写作是英语的一种综合性表达方式,是听、说、读、写中相对较难的一种技能。从单词的拼写到语法结构,从遣词造句到整篇书写,无一不体现学生的英语水平。而“话题”作文是英语写作中的一种,即教师给予一题目,让学生由题目而写作,谈谈自己的家人、朋友、爱好等等。英语写作不仅有助于巩固所学的知识,促使语言知识内在化,提高语言运用的准确性,而且能为实质性的口语能力打下扎实的基础;同时它也是师生、生生间在学习过程中的一种互动,且能促进交流,使师生共同提高。
