Objective To investigate the effect of abnormal liquefaction of semen on the rate of sperm recovery and pregnancy rate of intrauterine insemination (IUI). Methods A retrospective analysis of 182 patients with a total of 389 IUI treatment cycles, according to the semen viscosity and liquefaction were divided into normal liquefaction group and abnormal group, compared the two groups before and after treatment of the sperm index, recovery rate and pregnancy outcome difference . Results The total motile sperm count (PTMS) and recovery rate of the liquefied normal group were higher than those of the abnormal group (P <0.05), while there was no difference between the two groups in the sperm density, survival rate, the total sperm count before treatment and the clinical pregnancy rate Statistical significance. Conclusion Both groups have good clinical pregnancy rate, but there is no significant difference between them. However, PTMS and sperm recovery rate in the abnormal semen liquefaction group decreased.
