1993年8月,美丽的新加坡。由新加坡广播局和我国中央电视台联合举办的首届国际(中文)大专辩论会在此拉开战幕,来自世界8个国家和地区的华人青年俊才唇松舌战,逐鹿狮城。复旦大学代表队受国家教委委托出战,一路势如破竹,连挫剑桥大学,悉尼大学和台湾大学代表队,捧走了此次辩论会冠军及“最佳辩手”两项大奖。 本刊特选登辩论会初赛中剑桥大学代表队(正方)与复旦大学代表队(反方)的精采辩词,以飨读者。
August 1993, Beautiful Singapore. The first International (Chinese) College Debate jointly organized by the Broadcasting Authority of Singapore and China's Central Television Station started in this battle. Chinese young people from 8 countries and regions all over the world joined hands to carry out lip-smacking battles and lion racing. Fudan University team commissioned by the State Board of Education played a battle, all the way such as abject, even defeat Cambridge, Sydney University and Taiwan University team, took the debut champion and “best debater” two awards.
