Historically, floating-point processing of dedicated systems required board space to accommodate multi-processor and off-chip processors. To make it easier and more economical for engineers to achieve their design goals, Analog Devices introduced the new high-performance SHARC 2148x and Low-power SHARC 2147x series processors.
