作者在研究了不同类型苹果砧木叶结构与矮化性能相关的基础上。进一步对茎结构进行了解剖学探讨。试验结果查明: 1.苹果砧木的矮化与否和韧皮部的厚度(不包括皮层厚度)有关,即:矮化砧韧皮部最厚,半矮化砧次之,乔化砧最簿。 2.不同类型乔矮砧,木质部的厚度分析与矮化关系,无规律可循。 3.对韧皮部与木质部的比值进行了分析,其不同类型砧木茎结构的韧皮部与木质部的比值为1∶2.4——1∶6.5,看来比值变化趋势愈小,愈趋向于矮化或半矮化,反之,则趋向于乔化。由上述几项测定比较,我们认为以砧木茎的韧皮部厚度作为预选苹果矮砧的方法之一,是具有重要的实用价值。
