The legend of “Haijing” in the well-written Song Dynasty of China, “Geshin Miscellanies,” records such a legend, a local grocery store, there is a thing like a bottomless bucket. Its unique texture, neither bamboo, wood, nor gold, stone. Because no one knows the purpose of this monster, put a few years, no one cares. Later, there is a sea-boat merchant, occasionally this thing, such as the treasure, then a large purchase. Owner asked what is the use of this thing. The merchant said it was a treasure called “Haijing,” and our vessel was sea voyage. With this “sea well,” it can be put into the sea and fresh water can be drawn directly from the “well.” This legend reflects the desire of our voyagers to turn seawater into fresh water since the Tang and Song Dynasties began. It can be said that this is the earliest sprout of the idea of “desalination”. Queen reward bonus
