林兆华在话剧界被尊称为“大导”。今年72岁的林兆华是北京人民艺术剧院导演、北京大学戏剧研究所所长。1961年从中央戏剧学院毕业后,40多年间他导演了60余部舞台作品。1982年,由林兆华执导的《绝对信号》,在北京人艺剧院一层简陋的排演场演出,率先发动了中国当代话剧史上的一次革命——小剧场演出由此而生。
Lin Zhaohua in the theater is known as “big guide ”. Lin Zhaohua, 72, is director of Beijing People’s Art Theater and director of the Peking University Theater Research Institute. After graduating from the Central Academy of Drama in 1961, he directed more than 60 stage productions in more than 40 years. In 1982, “Absolute Signals” directed by Lin Zhaohua took the first performance of a simple rehearsal stage at the Beijing Art Theater and took the lead in launching a revolution in the history of contemporary Chinese drama - a performance of a small theater.
