草莓是蔷薇科(Rosaceae)草莓属(Fragaria)的浆果,是世界各国鲜果市场和制罐食品工业大力发展的对象。由于草莓病毒引起的病害无明显的症状,多数表现隐症,不易为人们注意,无形中降低品质、减少产量。对于草莓病毒的毒原鉴定和病害的诊断,需要特殊的技术和检验手段。近来除发展小叶嫁接生物测定外,有的也有血清学测试及有关分子生物学技术的借助,使诊断鉴定大有提高。已知草莓病毒及一些类菌原体(MLO_s)约29种,很可能还有新种发现。
