库布里克实在是一个很奇怪的导演:他的作品不多,但是几乎每一部都成为同类型的经典:史诗片《斯巴达克斯》,社会争议电影《洛丽塔》、黑色政治喜剧《奇爱博士》、科幻片《2001:太空奥德塞》、社会问题电影《发条橙》、古装史诗《巴里·林顿》、恐怖片《闪灵》、越战电影《全金属外壳》。从1960年的《斯巴达克斯》开始,每一部库布里克电影都会被评论界不加节制地褒奖成为同类型影片中的经典:说起越战,一定会提到《全金属外壳》,说起诡异惊悚,一定是《闪灵》……套句老话说:一个导演一辈子拍一部好电影不难,难的是一辈子只拍好电影,不拍差电影。何况库布里克涉及的类型
