广东舞蹈在全国具有较强的代表性,广东当代舞蹈的发展历程体现了全国舞蹈的发展脉络、流向流变及创造探索。新中国成立以来,广东出了梁伦、陈翘等优秀舞蹈家,出了诸如《喜送粮》、《草笠舞》、《摸螺》、《阿细跳月》等这样颇具时代和地方特色的舞蹈佳作;新时期以来,广东文化部门、舞蹈界坚持双百方针,解放思想,大胆探索实践,陆续引进移植了现代舞和芭蕾舞,先后成立了广东实验现代舞团及广州芭蕾舞团,珠海建立的全国首家音乐剧团当然少不了现代舞蹈的因素。除了广东歌舞剧院、
