我区是全国最大的回族聚居区,640多万回汉各族同胞携手同心,闭结互助,早已成为一个血脉相通的共同体、一个友爱温暖的大家庭,珍视民族团结、维护社会稳定大局的意识深深融入到每个人的心中。多年来,全区民族团结进步,社会和谐稳定,形成了鲜明的民族工作特色,创造了令人嘱目的“宁夏经验”。2012年,全国民族团结进步创建活动经验交流会在银川“开,我区民族团结进步工作得到了党中央、国务院的充分肯定。民族团结成为宁夏最大的政治优势,最靓丽的名片。
