安徽省境内华阳、皖河、杨湾、枞阳沿江四闸均建于５０年代末，经过４０多年的运用，普遍存在严重锈蚀、焊缝脱落、橡片止水老化撕裂、滚轮锈死等现象，这在超期服役的水工闸门中具有代表性。调查的结果表明：除使用年限因素外，对闸门的质量状况和安全使用问题进行了分析，因而提出了这些闸门为继续服役而应采取的措施，如更换零部件、橡片止水、清除锈蚀部位、进行防腐涂层处理、对焊缝进行探伤检测、及时予以加固等。
