随着地震学的发展,除常规的地震定量三要素——发震时刻、震中、震级以外,我们需要更多的带有震源特征物理意义明确的震源参数。尤其是对于较大地震为探讨其发震机制,必须设法寻求它们的断层面解、源尺度、地震矩、破裂速度、应力降等等。通过野外实地考察途径只能解决部分问题,而且往往受地质地理条件的限制不能成功。唯一可靠的方法就是从众多的布局合理的地震台站所纪录的地震图上寻找信息,用波谱方法求震源参数。
With the development of seismology, in addition to the conventional three elements of seismic quantification - epoch time, epicenter, and magnitude, we need more focal parameters with physical significance of focal features. Especially for large earthquakes, we must try to find their fault surface solutions, source scale, seismic moment, rupture speed, stress drop and so on. The fieldwork through the field can only solve some of the problems, and often can not be successfully limited by the geo-geographical conditions. The only reliable way is to look for information from the seismograms recorded by numerous well-located seismic stations and find the source parameters using spectral methods.
