城市公示语的翻译情况是展示一个城市形象的关键内容,是体现城市文化建设的重要之处。规范的公示语翻译不仅能够更好地服务外来游客,对宣传本地历史和文化也有一定促进作用。不规范,不标准的公示语翻译不仅不能起到宣传城市的形象,对外来游客的使用方便度也会有很多不良的影响。本文旨在研究秦皇岛市区主要公共场所的公示语英语翻译情况,分析其中存在的问题和产生原因,进一步提出应对措施和方法,为完善秦皇岛市的城市公示语英语翻译规范起到积极作用。
The translating of city public signs is the key content that shows a city image, it is the important place that embodies the city culture construction. Normative translation of public signs not only serves foreign tourists better, but also promotes local history and culture. Nonstandard, nonstandard translation of public signs not only can not serve to promote the image of the city, the ease of use of foreign tourists will have a lot of adverse effects. This paper aims to study the English translation of public signs in major public places in Qinhuangdao, analyze the existing problems and their causes, and further propose countermeasures and methods to play an active role in perfecting Qinlingdao’s standard English translation of urban public signs.
