当代中国社会正处在重大的转型期,即向工业化、城市化和市场化转型的特殊历史时期,历史上中外每一次重大的社会转型都会导致包括教育在内的社会各领域各方面的剧烈的、几乎是脱胎换骨的变化。这种社会转型对教育的影响,最主要的方面是知识转型:即从奴仆般仰视“崇高”的知识转变为主人般利用知以为自身发展服务(为发展而学习);从被动接受知识灌输转变为自主主动地获得知识(主动学习);从一次性地掌握知识转变为终身不停地学习知识(终身学习)。
