位于南投草屯的台湾手工业研究所,自1996年9月至1997年8月,面向社会,举办了为期一年的“漆器艺人陈火庆技艺传习”。 传习活动开始前四月,手工业研究所邀请日本漆艺家来所,磋商传习规划并详细制订成文。传习中,聘请台湾漆艺专家陈火庆、王清霜、黄丽淑、李荣烈等,大陆漆艺专家吴川、郑力为等担任教师。陈火庆20年代即在台中市山中工艺美术漆器制作所制作漆器,80年代被台湾手工业研究所、台北故宫博物院聘为漆器传承指导,曾数次获得传统工艺薪传奖;黄丽淑作品多次获得省展大奖,取得省展永久免予审查资格;李荣烈以篮胎漆器获省展大奖,其竹编技艺曾获1994年薪传奖;吴川为福建省工艺美术研究所高级工艺师,中央电视台《东方之子》曾作专题介绍;郑力为是福建省工艺美术学校高级讲师,作品蝉联全国六届美展银牌奖、全国七届美展铜牌奖。从筹备传习、科学论证到师资阵容,可见主办者荟萃两岸及日本漆艺精华之取向。 传习课程参照日本香川县漆艺研究所、石川县轮岛漆艺技术研究所、金沢卯辰山工艺工房的研修课程,分学科、术科、体育三大类,上下两学期,每学期22周,每周上课五天半。学科为漆艺理论课,含工艺史、漆艺发展史、漆料研究、胎体研究、漆工具研究、漆器鉴赏、参观教学、工厂实习、艺师座谈、研讨座谈?
