化州桔紅产广东化县,广西博白一带亦有栽培,为商品药材。据今人考証,栽培始于梁朝(公元502年),至于何时开始作为药用,則無确实记载,但知其利用历史極为悠久。入药部份主要是果皮,幼果与花亦可用,药店称为化州桔紅,或簡称化桔紅,是消痰止咳的良药。但目前市上所售桔紅,大多以柚皮代替、真正的桔紅皮極少,而真正桔紅究为何物,以往还缺少肯定的說法。作者就实地調查所得資料,經过整理研究,作出报导,提供医药与植物学工作者的参考。
Orange County, Huaihua County, Guangdong Province, Guangxi, Bobai area also cultivated for the commodity medicine. According to recent research, the cultivation began in the Liang Dynasty (AD 502). As to when it began to be used as a medicine, there was no record of it, but it was known that its use history was extremely long. The medicinal part is mainly peel, young fruit and flowers can also be used, the pharmacy is called Huazhou orange, or short for orange, which is a good medicine for eliminating phlegm and relieving cough. However, the oranges currently sold in the city are mostly replaced by pomelo peels, and the real orange peels are rare. However, what is the real orange peeling matter has been lacking in the past. The authors conducted research on the data obtained from field surveys, made reports, and provided references for medical and botany workers.
