新中国历史学的发展已有40年的历史了。新中国的中学历史教学事业作为史学工作的一个很重要的部分,也经历了40个春秋。中国史学历来有“述往事,思来者”的优良传统,重视对于历史和现实的思考,从中观察未来的趋向。继承和发扬这个优良传统,这是史学工作者的一种自觉精神。1989年,中国史学会在北京开座谈会,就是总结40年史学工作的成绩和问题,并提出今后努力的方向。此后,北方和南方都出版了总结、评论新中国历史学40年的专书——肖黎
The development of history of new China has 40 years of history. New China’s history teaching in secondary schools as a very important part of historiography has also experienced 40 years. Historiography of Chinese historically has a fine tradition of “recounting the past and thinking of others”, pays attention to thinking about history and reality, and observes the trend of the future from it. Inheriting and carrying forward this fine tradition is a conscious effort by historians. In 1989, the Chinese Historical Society held a symposium in Beijing, which summed up the achievements and problems of 40-year historiography work and put forward the direction of future efforts.
