2013年1月9日,由西班牙驻中国大使馆、中国国家画院、中国画学会主办的中西之美——刘大为、林德绘画作品联展在陕西省美术博物馆隆重开幕。中国文联副主席左中一,西班牙文化参赞依格纳西·奥·莫若,陕西省委常委、西安市委书记魏民洲,陕西省人大常委会副主任张迈曾、白阿莹等出席了画展开幕式。“中西之美”画展缘起于法国巴黎的“东方之美”刘大为画展。2012年6月,西班牙文化大使林德由马德里赶赴展览现场,他被迎面而来的《雪域生灵》所震撼,当即萌生了与刘大为举办绘画联展的愿望。

In June 2012, Linde, the Spanish ambassador for culture, rushed to the exhibition site from Madrid. He was shocked by the oncoming “snow-covered creatures.” His desire to organize a painting exhibition with Liu Daliwei immediately came into being.
