大连市自1994年全面推行连锁经营以来,发展势头比较迅猛,如今连锁企业已达40多家(含外资、合资企业),连锁店800余个,超市60多个,配送中心18个,经营面积60余万平方米,销售额约占全市社会消费品零售总额的8％,有巨大的市场潜力。为了全面促进大连市和东北三省连锁经营的发展,由大连市连锁企业协会、大连北方国际展览公司共同主办的“2000年大连连锁超市商品、设施及技术展览会”将于5月8～11日在大连星海会展中心隆重召开,共计有200多家中外厂商参展。
