Objective To detect the expression of Fas / FasL and HDAg in liver tissue of patients with hepatitis D, and to understand the role of Fas / FasL in the pathogenesis of hepatitis type. Methods Immunohistochemical single and double labeling techniques were used to detect the expression of Fas, FasL and HDAg in 48 cases of hepatitis B patients and 54 cases of hepatitis B as controls. Results Fas was predominantly expressed in hepatocyte cytoplasm, while HDAg was mainly expressed in hepatocytes and cytoplasm. The expression and distribution of the two antigens were consistent. FasL was mainly expressed in the infiltrating lymphocyte plasma and hepatocyte nucleus, which was consistent with the abnormal expression and distribution of HDAg. The detection rate and the expression of Fas and FasL in hepatitis D were higher than those in control group, and the expression intensity of three components in each hepatitis was significant Sexual difference significance. Conclusion Fas, FasL and HDAg are both associated with inflammatory activity and pathological damage in liver tissue. HDV infection can induce large expression of Fas in hepatocytes. The apoptosis of CTL induced by Fas / FasL pathway may be related to the pathogenesis of HDV.
